She said yes!

My last days as an unmarried man draw nearer as I'm typing this. Next Saturday Joke and myself are getting married. Not the church wedding, but the marriage in city hall. The big event is actually for next summer. We've know each other for close to 9 years and we've been living together for about 3 of those. All I can say is that those 9 have been the best of my life so far. I can honestly say she's the love of my life.

The photo was taken two days after I proposed to her. I had the engagement ring custom made using an old ring I gave her years ago. At the time the ring was just a tad too small to fit her ring finger, which is why she's wearing it on her little finger in the picture. We got it enlarged though.

At the risk of sounding very clichéd: my life is simply amazing at the moment :)

Tip of the day: take as much pictures of special events as you can. Looking back at them later on in life can bring about an unbelievable rollercoaster ride of emotions. You can take the best photo in terms of lighting and composition, but nothing beats some of the emotions personal images like this one evoke. The photo above just makes me so happy.
