Two weeks or so ago I bought some black plastic for the lightbox. The next few images are a bit of an experiment with this dark backdrop. Morpheus was shot with a diffused SB600 flash to his right. To warm up the scene a little I positioned two big spotlights far away enough from the lightbox as to not impact things too much (and to adequately spread out the light).

I think this shot is great. In thumbnail view I immediately recognized Morepheus. I also love how you can see the light in his sunglasses. Well done.

@Aaron Schmidt: The light in the sunglasses is indeed a nice bonus, although I hadn't noticed it as I was taking the pictures. Thanks for the comment!

@Tristan: You're quite welcome about the setup. It's fun to share my setups with other photographers. Personally I like to know how others did it, so I try and return the favor :)
yeah Morpheus!!! very cool shot! It's amazing how much of an impact lighting can have on a subject and how verstaile it can be. Great work!

@MSD: Sometimes you need to mess around with the lighting for quite a bit before you find a setup that works, but when you finally nail it it can be so much fun!
LOL! AWESOME...I was just watching the movie before I logged on!
