Blankenberge pier

Last weekend, I almost threw this picture out while going through the shoot from Blankenberge (where this shot also belongs to). Today I was looking for something new to post and I started messing around with the settings in Lightroom. Sliders were dragged to extremes and something kind of presentable resulted from the process (yes, sometimes it's about luck in my opinion). I'm quite the happy camper :D

This is the pier in Blankenberge which was recently opened up to the public again. They had to do some very heavy reconstruction work on the pylons (replacing most of them) that support the walkway that goes round the building. You can still see some of the old wooden columns to the right of the image. What you see to the left in the sky aren't clouds, but smoke from the christmas tree burning that was taking place down the beach.
