You probably already saw a shot from one of our photography assignments over on Jan's blog, so you already know we had to shoot silhouets that evening. I had a male model, so I figured I might as well bring a toy gun and try to recreate a bit of a Max Payne atmosphere. I'm extremely happy how it turned out, especially the little detail of his glasses.
Since Jan already explained the setup we had for this shoot I won't go into too much detail about it anymore (basically 2 softboxes pointed at an angle towards the background behind the model). What I do want to mention is that I obviously increased the contrast in this image to even out the background.

@e.: Thank you!
Very powerful shot indeed. The model doesn't seem like the type to have a gun, and yet the pose suggests a casual familiarity with the weapon. Is he a spy? Someone contemplating suicide? Has he just killed someone? It's a great photo that can raise all these questions. Great job.
