No trespassing

The last image from the Blankenberge set. At the end of the pier they were still doing some construction work, so part of the walkway was closed off. But there's always a couple of them who have to ignore the signs and go in and peek anyway. I'm kidding, there was a fence at the other side, right in front of those 2 people, but because of the shallow depth of field it's not really visible.

For those who are interested, the text on the sign is Dutch and reads 'forbidden to enter the construction site'. I guess it would simply say 'no trespassing' in English. I don't know why us Belgians feel the need to make our sentences so long really.

I've tried as much as I can to post process each of the images (1,2,3) in this set a little different from the rest. Looking at them now I get quite a dreary feeling from all of them though. I guess it's because it was cold and windy that day and somehow I took that (subconsciously?) into account when tweaking the shots. If I compare the originals to the final versions, the end result is always a lot darker and more desolate. I guess photography does, in a way, let you show others what you as a photographer were feeling and not necessarily what was actually in front of the camera lens.

Funky, I never really thought about these things until now. I also hope I didn't sound like a complete idiot in the paragraph above.
