Another photo of Elfya, An and Pieter's youngest. One of the things I noticed when post processing this shot is that the clarity function in Lightroom is best left untouched when working on images of babies. Clarity adds small contrast enhancements to the midtones which tend to result in the baby's skin looking quite rough and unnatural.

interesting that clarity would have that effect. I usually crank up clarity on everything so I'll be a bit more discerning in the future. Fun photo as well!

@Jason Kravitz: It's not that the effect is bad or anything really. It's just that it brings out wrinkles and unevenness in the skin quite drastically when cranked up too high. That's the reason I shy away from it when working on baby pictures. Thanks for the comment!

I noticed the clarity function in ACR and Lightroom tend to do that to soft skin images, babies and girls, works fine on men and other things. I love the concept of this image.
